Children In Harmony’s before & after school care program offers a dynamic, well-rounded experience for kindergarten through eighth grade students. Rooted in our commitment to elite, child-centered programming, we create a nurturing environment that balances play, learning, and personal growth. Each afternoon includes recess for movement and social play, a nutritious snack to recharge, structured homework support, and engaging enrichment activities in the arts. We’re proud to now include financial literacy—equipping students with practical, lifelong skills.

We are currently located on partner school campuses Promise Academy Schools, Star Academy, and Cornerstone Prep, and Lester Middle School.

Our music program introduces students to rhythm, melody, and instruments in a fun, supportive setting. Music helps strengthen memory, focus, and emotional expression. Through singing, playing, and listening, students build confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills while developing a lifelong appreciation for music and the arts.

Dance offers students a joyful way to stay active while expressing themselves creatively. Through choreography, movement, and rhythm, students build coordination, flexibility, and discipline. Dance also improves confidence and teamwork, helping students develop both physically and emotionally while enjoying a healthy, creative outlet after the school day.

Our after-school sports and physical fitness program helps K–8 students stay active, build coordination, and develop teamwork skills. Through fun, structured activities, kids gain confidence, improve focus, and learn healthy habits that support their overall well-being. It’s a positive, energetic space where movement, discipline, and fun come together.

Our financial literacy program teaches essential money skills in a fun, age-appropriate way. Students learn about saving, budgeting, and smart spending through real-world scenarios and games. These lessons build critical thinking, responsibility, and confidence—helping students form healthy financial habits that will benefit them for years to come.

Promise Academy Schools proudly introduces a new era of after-school enrichment with the launch of Memphis’ first performing arts-based before and after school program—created in partnership with Children in Harmony.
Rooted in Promise Academy’s mission of “One Promise”—to prepare students for success in college and life—this program is more than just care. It’s a high-energy, structured experience where students in grades K–8 can grow academically, creatively, and socially.
Each day includes movement and recess, structured homework time, a healthy snack, and access to engaging clubs in music, dance, theater, and visual arts. The program also builds real-world knowledge through a financial literacy component, preparing students for a bright future. As a part of our Promise Launch Campaign, the first 25 students to register—from Raleigh, North Memphis, and Frayser—will receive a free sponsored uniform shirt as a special welcome into the program. Families now have a one-stop solution that combines strong academics with meaningful enrichment. Promise Academy Schools is leading the way.
